Are you ready to Fling?

We’re excited to be welcoming so many talented bloggers and garden enthusiasts to the 15th annual Garden Fling in just two short weeks! The Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma will be our home base for the duration of the Fling. Whether you’re staying at the Murano or a nearby hotel, the following info should be helpful:

The Fling welcome desk will be located on the 3rd floor at the top of the lobby stairs. Please stop by our desk on Thursday afternoon between 3:00-4:45pm to pick up your name tag and swag bag. Many thanks to our wonderful sponsors for donating so many terrific garden items and to the Northwest Flower and Garden Festival for providing the beautiful canvas swag bags!  If you’re not able to visit our welcome desk on Thursday, you’ll have another opportunity Friday morning between 7:00-7:45am.

We’ll board the buses at 5:00pm for our Thursday evening reception at Farrelli’s at Point Ruston, where we’ll enjoy a dinner of specialty pizzas, salads and a complimentary glass of wine or beer. Seating will be available both indoors and outside on a large patio with a view of the waterfront. We’ll return to the Hotel Murano at 8pm. A huge thank you to Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Shrubs for generously sponsoring our welcome dinner!

To give everyone a better idea of our schedule, the following times show the pickup time at the Murano every morning, along with the approximate return time:

Friday: 8:00am pickup; return at 6:00pm for dinner on your own

Saturday: 8:30am pickup; banquet dinner at Lakewold Gardens; return at 8:30pm

Sunday: 9:00am pickup; return at 6:00pm for dinner on your own

Monday (optional Seattle tour): 8:00am pickup; celebratory party at the Galicic garden; return at 6:00pm

Garden descriptions and daily itineraries will be listed in the printed sponsor directory that everyone will receive in their swag bags.
