Qualification Form for the Buffalo Fling is open
You don’t want to miss this one—Thursday to Sunday, July 9-12, 2026.
Many cities have great gardens. Buffalo has a citywide gardening culture.
If you were there in 2010, you know. The third annual Fling was held in Buffalo in July of that year and it was eye-opening. Those who had no clue what this city on the far side of New York State had to offer were blown away. Back then, the Fling focused mainly on the jam-packed urban oases that make Garden Walk Buffalo the largest free garden tour in the U.S.
This year, we’ll be revisiting many of those gardens, but we’ll also be ranging deeper into Buffalo’s northern and southern suburban and rural spaces.
Flingers will get to see grand lakeside estates and sprawling suburban retreats, as well as the iconic city gardens of Allentown, Elmwood Village and the Cottage District. We’ll have lunch with Frank Lloyd Wright (sort of), dinner in one of the oldest women' s clubs in the country and drinks at a fabulous waterfront test garden.
