Wondering what it's like to garden in Memphis?

Memphis is a delightful place to be, thanks to its humid subtropical climate, which brings four unique seasons to our city. Our hardiness zone falls within the 7b-8a range, granting us a generous growing season that spans a whopping 236 days.

You'll find us happily tending to our gardens from mid-March through mid-November, except for those scorching July and August days when we seek refuge in front of our trusty air conditioners. Our city sees an average annual rainfall of 53 inches, and our soils are rich, deep, and primarily silt loam and loess over clay – the perfect recipe for growing just about anything your heart desires.

So, whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, Memphis has the perfect backdrop for your green-thumb adventures!🌿🌞 Y’all come visit!
